khatam kari is Delicate and meticulous marquetry utilized to decorate things such as jewellery/decorative boxes, chessboards, cadres,pipes, desks, frames or some musical instruments.. this handicraft is made of thin sticks of wood (ebony, teak, ziziphus, orange, rose), brass (for golden parts), camel bones (white parts). Carpet is an essential part of Iranian art and culture. Iran is also the world's largest producer and exporter of handmade carpets, producing three quarters of the world's total output. Iranian(Persian) carpets are available in many designs, sizes, colors and can be made from wool or silk or a combination of both. Designs and patterns can vary as each region of the country has its own variation and custom of weaving.
